RTOS: Discrete Sync

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

We are trying to  capture an picture image using balser camera which output Discrete YUV422 signal,for this purpose we chose DM8148 processor using mjeg alg encode type.

However, the image was like :

  • fact1:

the link chain :captureLink  -> encLink(mJpeg)-> A8host

We use SYSTEM_STD_720P_60 as default pixs 1280 * 720, the green on both sides exists.

We tried to change SYSTEM_STD_720P_60  in bios6 firmware as 1024 * 720 pixs, while the green on both sides stil exists, we try to belieive  that there is something wrong with mjeg encode link

  • fact2

Link chain: captureLink -> enclink(h264) ->A8host

The video h264 file looks just the same as mjeg picture, what ???!!! , does it mean the encode link is just fine and the problem comes with captureLink?

  • question

For the moment we need to dignify  what  causes the problem, enclink? if not , how to configure captureLink in bios6 as we need the correct discrete time sequence, any answers would be of great help, thanks.

this image is 1280 *720pixs  in jpg format  , the green color is a little weired, the 1024 * 720 pixs in jpg format image and  the h264 video file as well

  • Hi,

    Are you sure that the green pixels are coming from encode?

    Please note that when you capture over discrete sync interface, horizontal blanking pixels also are captured unless they are trimmed off using vip trimmer.  Can you check if the number of green pixels are similar to blanking pixels in each line?

    Rgds,
