Does the hardware spinlock written in TRM support with IPC or processor-sdk-linux-AM57xx?

Hi, Shigehiro,

IPC doesn't use it directly, but the underlying layers uses it, such as rpmsg, etc. The hwspinlock entry is defined in dra7.dtsi device tree for am57x platforms.

Hi, Shigehiro,

I just want to add a bit more details and some correction. Spinlock is implemented in Linux, but as for IPC per se, The current generation rpmsg stack doesn’t use HwSpinlocks. They were essential for previous generation SysLink/DSPLink which is no longer supported. The BIOS to BIOS IPC within IPC 3.x still uses HwSpinlock because the stack is based on the previous generation IPC. Hope I didn't confuse you.
