Hello,

I was looking around online at TI.com and found the am5729 is onboard the BBAI. I have one of these boards. I am currently learning about Cortex-M4 on some texts I have currently.

...

What exact type of Cortex-M4 is onboard the BBAI? I am trying to learn from an older book and all while paraphrasing the older text so that I may update it for this board and the M4s onboard.

Hello,

The reason I am asking is b/c of the "IPU" section of the question at hand.

The Cortex-M4 on ARM KEIL software might not have the exact same "IPU" reference but I was thinking that they might have the LM4F11xxxxx reference label for the dual M4s on the BBAI.

I know this is a third party vendor but I figured someone might know in this community.

Hello,

I am reviewing the TRM for the M4, Rev. r0p1. So, would I just look up, in the TRM, am5729 or would I define am5729 and look for IPU0_C0 for the first M4 onboard the am5729?

Okay...so.

...

I have been learning about the M4 co-processor a bit more. See, most of the IDEs promote only specific types of M4 chips. I have been unable to find IPU0_C0 in any of the IDEs.

I checked a lot of them, i.e. from ARM KEIL to MBed. Does the Eclipse Version your company promotes, CCS, have the specified M4 in question as a programmable unit?

Seth, Yes, CCS supports the AM5729 and the IPU/M4s.
