AFE7950: Input / Output impedance specs

Input return loss is specified on page 20 of the data sheet, “with matching network”.  I didn’t find the ADC input impedance specified in the datasheet. The AFE79xx layout guide says 100 ohms differential on page 18.

    1. Can you provide details on the matching network and confirm the interface is 100 ohms differential?

Output return loss is specified on page 18 of the data sheet, “with matching”.  I didn’t find the DAC output impedance specified in the datasheet. The AFE79xx layout guide says 50 ohms and implies differential on page 18.

    Hi Steve,

    I can confirm below: 

    ADC input impedance is 100 ohms. 

    DAC output impedance is 50 ohms. This is specified as RTERM in section 7.5.

    Matching networks for 2.6GHz and 3.5GHz bands are same as shown in AFE7920EVM schematics in secure folder. I will email you the matching networks used for other bands given in DS.
