AFE7950EVM: Can I test loopback without FPGA evm?

Hello,

I read that loopback test (JESD loopback from ADC to DAC) is possible by Latte example - AFE79xx_EVM_Mode5.py on e2e forums.(https://e2e.ti.com/support/rf-microwave-group/rf-microwave/f/rf-microwave-forum/1017121/afe7950evm-afe7950evm-loopback-mode)

Does JESD mean AFE7950 jesd block? so I can test loopback with only AFE7950EVM?

You are correct. JESD loopback can be tested using only AFE7950EVM. You can refert o below app note as well for more information on this mode:
