Hi ,

I want to enable the pre-emphasis in the AFE7444EVM.

I try to find the datasheet and no information is available for it. Please let me know can I enable it.

    Hi Ganesh,

    The AFE7444 pre-emphasis programming registers are in the JESD_Tx_Serdes page. You can select the right page for A&B and/or the C&D side link as needed. The JESD_Tx_Serdes page can be selected using register 0x17 of the Global Page. Bit 0 of the JESD_Tx_Serdes page register corresponds to the A&B link and bit 1 corresponds to the C&D link.

    To enable the pre-emphasis programming, set bit0 of the FIRUPT registers to 1. Programming for each lane can de done separately using registers 0x90, 0x95, 0x9A, and 0x9F

    Then you can update pre-emphasis in the TWCRF_FIR and TWPRE_FIR registers. Programming for each lane can be done separately using registers 0x91, 0x96, 0x9B, and 0xA0.
