AFE7950: SYNC LVDS Inputs/Outputs

Hello, I am looking at the datasheet for the AFE7950 and I would like to know the following specs, if known, for the 0SYNCIN and 0SYNCOUT LVDS inputs/outputs. I only see a typical listed. Any help is appreciated.

1. Min and max common-mode input/output voltages, VOCM/VICM

2. Min and max differential voltage swing, VOD/VID

Only typical specifications are available for these parameters. We can not provide MIN/MAX specs.

Ok, thanks for the reply. If you don't mind me asking, is there any electrical data on the REFCLK+/_ input clock? I would not find any specifics regarding VOD and VCM other than AC coupling and internal 100 ohm termination.

Hi Jack,

VCM is set by the AFE. So, it's not specified. As mentioned in the datasheet, this signal should be AC coupled and Input level should be a minimum 0.6V and maximum 1.8V peak-to-peak differentially.

Ok, that sounds like the same specs as with the SYSREF+/-. If that is true, that should answer my question.

Jack,

SYSREF has be DC coupled. So Input Common Mode Voltage is given in the datasheet. VCM should be between 0.6 and 0.8V.

Differential swing voltage values are also given in section 7.8 (page 26) of the datasheet.

Yes, thanks for the reminder. I was referring to the similarities in the input levels.
