How to vary the phase of 2.45 GHz by 360 degrees

I would like to know how to vary the phase of 2.45 GHz by 360 degrees.
Can I use a modulator, or can I use a PLL IC with a built-in VCO to achieve this?

Hi,

We have customers using the TRF372017 or the TRF3722 integrated modulator + PLL/VCO to change the phase of the RF. You can provide DC offset to I/Q branch of the modulator + pll/vco circuit to adjust the gain and phase of the radio output.

Thank you for your response.
When I fix I and vary the voltage of Q, the phase of Lo changes, but at the same time the amplitude of Lo changes and I think the level of Lo drops when it is in the opposite phase.

Hi Hirata-san,

I will have to defer you to another department to see if they have solutions on this. The TRF family is not designed for this application.

Hi Hirata-san,

LMX2572, 2582, 2594 they all have a phase adjustment function to shift the phase of RF output w.r.t. the reference clock.

LMX2572EVM user's guide section 3.2.1 has an example.
