DAC38RF83: Current consumption

Part Number: DAC38RF83

Hi all

My question is about the -1.8V connected to the dac.

I see almost zero current consumption in the -1.8V DC (I verified that the voltage actually gets to the DAC), and I can't see any output frequency.

I have another DAC that works fine, and the current consumption is 160mA (For the -1.8V).

is there anything i can do in order to fix it?

  • Nir,

We are going to need more information before we can help you with this.

    1. Is this two identical boards or 2 DAC's on a single board?

    2. Are both outputs dead on the non-working device? What is the status of the JESD SYNC signal? Did this part ever have a valid output?

    3. Can you get a NCO only tone out of the non-working DAC?

    4. Can you send you schematic? If not, what is the device used to supply this voltage?

    5. Can you write/read registers from the non-working DAC? Are the clocks present at this part?

    6. Are any errors reported from the error status registers?

    Regards,

    Jim
