Does the AFE7950 transmit support ns level variable frequency in the full band from 600MHz to 12GHz full band?

Hi Enhui,

Maximum instantaneous bandwidth of AFE7950 is 2.4GHz only. Hopping to a pre-programmed NCO frequency (center frequency) takes 100s of nanoseconds. Also note that in a given bringup, AFE can be configured for operation in a particular Nyquist zone only (1st or 2nd Nyquist zone). So, assuming 12GHz operation, Nyquist boundary at 6GHz should be considered.

Also matching the DAC output for frequency band wider than 1.5GHz is challenging.

Hi Vijay,

In the datasheet, the RF frequency rang TX is 600MHz-12GHz. If this can support ns level variable frequency during the range?

No. AFE7950 cannot support varying frequencies in 600MHz to 12GHz range within nanoseconds.

Hi Vijay,

Mybe here are some misunderstanding. Whether the AFE7950 can support variable in nanoseconds？ It's not that from 600M to 12G in a few nanoseconds.
