AFE7906: RxNCO setting

Part Number: AFE7906
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AFE7900EVM

AFE7906 device I want to set the RxNco frequency to 352MHz to 608MHz
Could you please tell me how to set it up in Latte?

sysParams.rxNco0 = [[5400,5400], #Band0, Band1 for RXA
[500,500], #Band0, Band1 for RXB
[2500,2500], #Band0, Band1 for RXC
[1800,1800]] #Band0, Band1 for RXD

  • Hi Suematsu,

    If your input frequency band from 352 to 608MHz, you can choose the center frequency, 480MHz as NCO frequency.

    On AFE7900EVM, RXB input circuit is the best one to this frequency band.

    To change RXB NCO to 480MHz, you can update the script as below:

    sysParams.rxNco0 = [[5400,5400], #Band0, Band1 for RXA
    [480,500], #Band0, Band1 for RXB
    [2500,2500], #Band0, Band1 for RXC
    [1800,1800]] #Band0, Band1 for RXD

    Note that useable output bandwidth is ~80% of output data rate i.e. ADC sample rate divided by decimation factor.

    Regards,

    Vijay
