DAC38RF89: HSDS pro issue missing subVI

Part Number: DAC38RF89
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC38RF93

Hello,

I ran into a problem recently with trying to run HSDC Pro to troubleshoot a suspected JESD problem with our DAC38RF89 implementation. I installed from the website, but get a "Missing subVI" error message as shown below:

Assistance in getting the SW running would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Adam

  • Hello Adam,

I recall seeing this issues if you have installed the software for the first time on the PC and has not yet connected the DAC38RF93 EVM module USB port. Could you please do the following?
    1. connect DAC38RF93 EVM USB port

    2. power up the EVM

    3. check the device properly manager if the USB interface driver had been installed correctly.

    -Kang

  • Hi Kang, Tried it, the FTDI devices show up correctly and the DAC software connects properly (see below) but the HSDC Pro software still dies at the splash screen and doing the Labview show errors thing comes up with the missing VI error. (Incidentally the Cypress driver for the 14J56 also does show up when it's plugged in, and indicates the drivers for that are OK as well.)

  • Sorry, I thought you were referring to DAC38RF93 GUI.

You can try to run the HSDC PRO as "administrative mode" to see if situation improves

Please advise the OS of the test environment.
