A very simple question - I just want to make sure I understand something correctly.
In the document 'IWR1xxx Radar Digital Front End (DFE)' (SWRA550) it states on page 6 that 'The output of the second stage decimation filter goes to the ADC buffer memory. The output can be rounded and saturated for 12-, 14- or 16-bit signed integer values'. Do I understand correctly that this means that the data is forced to conform to the selected resolution? In other words, if 12-bit output is selected, each value coming out of the 2nd stage decimation process will be adjusted so that it will be an integer between -2048 and +2047 and cannot lie outside this range?
Thanks
