AFE8030 Temperature Sensor

Hi,

I am looking for the internal temperature reading accuracy and cant find it at the DS.

please advise.

    Hello Haim,

    Even though the AFE8030 has an available temperature sensor internal to the device, TI cannot ensure the absolute accuracy of the temperature sensor as there are offsets to the circuits. Therefore, TI cannot recommend our customers to use the internal temperature sensor.

    Hello Kang,

    because i have the ability to read the junction temperature i wanted to use it for understanding if the AFE junction is above the limits I defined.

    I think this is a valid request, but for this i need to understand the accuracy of the measurement.

    please advise.

    Hello Haim,

    There is a +/- 10 degree offset that varies part to part in the AFE8030 temp sensors. Therefore, please use this accuracy information accordingly. Thank you!
