Hello,
We are looking to using the TRF370417 IQ in some signal generation. We would like to measure the effect of the device on phase noise by feeding a very clean LO. My issues is, the device requires a differential input for the IQ, we would like to not use a DAC yet to isolate the sources of phase noise. I would like to simply set different DC levels to the I&Q inputs to look at the output's phase noise around the phase circle, like π/4-QPSK. How should I set up the DC levels to ensure the correct bias voltage and common mode voltage on the input? Can I drive one input ie IP at VCM(1.7V) and hold the other input at gnd? We will most likely be using a battery or some other low noise source for the DC, ensuring it does not add noise to our measurements.
