AFE7900EVM: Continuous Wave transmission and reception using AFE EVM and TSW14J57EVM

I am currently working with AFE7900EVM and TSW14J57EVM for continuous wave transmission and reception. All the steps in the bringup guide AFE7900EVM+ TSW14J57EVM.pptx were followed. But still I am facing TX issue when ADC capture is done. The ADC-DAC link is getting disrupted even after using _B ini files. Ini files were downloaded from one of the existing E2E forum posts. Transmission and reception, when done separately are done correctly but not simultaneously. When a single tone signal is transmitted from TXA and connected to spectrum analyzer, the tone is perfect until ADC capture is done. On clicking ADC capture multiple times, the tone becomes perfect but in the next few capture clicks, it again becomes distorted. Please help me with a solution.

Hi Aditya,

Could you share the .ini files you are using?

In the “_B” .ini files you are using, is the “skipreconfig=1”? If not, could you set “skipreconfig=1”?

Could you also try downloading the latest ones from the AFE79xx Secure folder?

Hi Aditya,

I see that your .ini files are different than the ones from the secure folder. Could you please try using the ones from the secure folder? I am attaching them here as well.

We tested these on our side following the guide and saw no issues.

Hi Camilio,

The .ini files folder shared by you has only 2x2TX and 2×2RX files. As per the guide, 1x2RX and 1x2TX ini files are to be used. Can you please share those files as well.

Hi Aditya,

What guide are you looking at? Are you looking at the "AFE7900_TSW14J57.pptx" from the secure folder? Because that guide says 2x2TX and 2×2RX files.

All the .ini files are in the secure folder under "Guides_and_SW".
