Hi there,

I want to use the parts LM3290 and LM3291 on my design but on TI's webpage a notification NOT RECOMMENDED FOR NEW DESIGNS is shown.

Is there any alternative for these parts?

Hi Anna,

LM3290 and LM3291 are not recommended for new designs.

We don’t really have exact replacement parts. You can check TPS62701. Alternative is to externally adjust the output voltage by feeding a current into the FB pin. Please check this app note: Methods of output-voltage adjustment for DC/DC converters (ti.com)

We also have some parts like TPS62868 where the output voltage can be dynamically adjusted via I2C.
