Hi, I'm trying to match the AF7951 RF ports to 8.1GHz, do you have any design guides or a reference design? I designed a matching network but since I don't have a PCB I can't measure it ( only simulate it )

Hi Maor,
In the AFE79xx secure resources, linked below, we have an excel sheet with some of the matching networks that we have made for the AFE79xxEVMs. You can use these or your own matching network as a starting point for your simulation. In the folder we also provide s-parameters that can be used in your simulation.
Our suggestion would be to first find the balun you plan to use. Then start with a quick simulation using the S parameters to give you a starting point of how the components will affect the S11 of the circuit. And then you would be able to put it in the board to start tweaking the network to optimize based on what you see from S parameter measurements and the loss of your matching circuit. From doing matching networks in a different product, we saw the layout parasitics will also have an impact on the performance of your matching network considerably at higher frequencies because the terminations on the RF channels are sensitive.
