Hello,

I'm currently working with the LAUNCHXL-CC1352P-2 and using the RF Diagnostics sample code to evaluate the DK's capabilities, particularly its maximum output power and BLE transmission features. However, I've encountered a limitation when setting the Tx power.

When configuring it via AT commands in PuTTY, the maximum allowed value appears to be only +5 dBm, whereas the specifications indicate that this DK version supports up to +20 dBm using a Power Amplifier.

Could you please advise on how to properly configure the Tx power to achieve the +20 dBm output? Any guidance or documentation references would be greatly appreciated.

Which frequency band are you targeting and what SDK version are you using?

Hi Arthur,

Thank you for your message. I'm targeting the 2.4GHz band to transmit BLE broadcast packets. The SDK version is 8.30.1.01.

Hi Jorge,

Have you also tried SmartRF Studio 7 to evaluate the TX power?

Here you can see that we can select the 20 dBm output power.

As of rfDiagnostics, you can add an extra PHY in SysConfig that supports the High PA mode, such as the BLE 1M PHY for your advertisements:

You will have to modify the rfDiagnostics code to take into account the new PHY (in PhySettings.h), and the fact that the BLE PHY uses different commands, as seen in SmartRF Studio:
