AFE7906: NCO phase resetting

Part Number: AFE7906

Tool/software:

Greetings,
I am having troubles while trying to understand the correct way of configuring via SPI the NCOs in the AFE7906 ADCs in order to have the same phase for every new start of conversion I am performing.
Is there a documentation where the whole SPI procedure for programming the device is summarized?
Thanks in advance.

  • Hi Alisson,

For updating the NCO frequency and NCO phases I would recommend referencing the CAFE library, which has C functions for both of these operations. Within the C functions you can see the exact registers required to perform both operations.

In regard to your question on procedure for programming the AFE, when using the AFE79xx Latte GUI you can generate a configuration file that will contain all of the register writes/reads/polls required to bringup the device and you can follow this to bringup the AFE in your mode of operation. For dynamic change of a setting after the initial bringup you can use our CAFE library or reference our Register Set document.
