Hi Akash,

The AFE79xx GUI will take care of configuring the FTDI device to program the AFE. The connection and configuration of the FTDI is done in the setup.py and devInit.py scripts.

Are you attempting to configure the AFE without the GUI?

Hi David,

We are not configuring AFE with GUI but by running default python script through Latte software.

Hi David,

We are programming both LMK04828 and AFE7950 on custom board through Latte software. FTDI IC is being used as a translator to program AFE7950. We have checked all the voltages and interfaces as per AFE7950EVM schematic. While programming it is giving an error that FTDI is not connected and SPI not working.

Hi Akash,

Was the FTDI on your custom board programmed to have the same USB handle as the AFE EVM? The Latte software is looking for a FTDI chip with the product description of "AFE79xx HSC1386". If it does not detect/find this then the GUI will not connect to the FTDI and give the errors you mention.
