Dear Texas,

We have been working with the AFE development kit for some time now, carefully going through all the documents and guides - even asking questions via this forum. As the project involves multiple teams (HW, SW and Signal Processing) we have faced some multidisciplinary doubts.

We were wondering if you could offer specific training for this development kit or if it would be possible to schedule a meeting with an application engineer. Having expert guidance would be incredibly helpful to ensure we're on the right track.

Hi Anna,

In regard to training have you gone through all of our available training material, which is available in the AFE79xx Secure Folder in the 'Training Materials' folder? This includes training on hardware, software, and system overviews.

Hello David,

I'm one of Anna’s colleagues. To give you more context, we are considering the AFE7906 as the receiver in an X-Band project. We have also acquired the AFE7950EVM to study and verify the behavior of the multi-channel receiver in our design.

On our work with the Evaluation Board, we have encountered certain challenges. We have asked some questions in the following thread:

In summary, we are having trouble running any application with the AGC, and with understanding its calibration using the Latte and HSDC softwares.

We would like to verify how the AGC responds to a mock signal with similar characteristics to an expected input signal. We would test this behavior with different configurations of the signal receive chain. We would also like to perform RX calibration and verify the phase correction meets our requirements and to incorporate the DSA calibration procedure in our hardware and software design.

We have reviewed the documents in the “Training materials”, but still some questions persist. If there are any additional resources available, such as training, we are interested in exploring more options.
