AFE7769D: RX DSA calibration with internal loop-back

Part Number: AFE7769D

There seems to be a discrepancy between the TRM and tiAfe77D_calibrations.c.

Which one is correct or how to perform RX DSA calibration with internal loop-back?

TRM_sbau418a_AFE77xxD Programming User Guide, Table 1-21. Factory Calibration indicates that it should be possible to perform RX DSA calibration in 3 ways:

0-> Calibration with external signal
1->Calibration with internal signal generator and external loop-back
2-> Calibration with internal signal generator and internal loop-back

Whereas the function in tiAfe77D_calibrations.c from Latte v1.6 not includes option 2.

  • Hi Niels,

    We recommend following the guidance provided by the CAPIs. Although the TRM (Technical Reference Manual) and device have the capability to use option 2 for Rx DSA calibration, this feature has not been validated fully.

    For Rx DSA calibration, you have two options:

    1. Use an external signal generator (SigGen) to provide the calibration signal.
    2. Send a tone from the Tx (Transmitter) and loop it back to the Rx (Receiver) via an external SMA connection or another type of connection.

    If you need further information on the Rx DSA calibration procedures, please let us know.

    Regards,

    Serkan
