TRF3765 SPI COMUNICATION

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TRF3765

Hello,

We are doing a SPI communication between the TRF3765 and a PIC (16F876A) and we would like to have more information about how to do this, like an example.

This communication is required to set the registers of the TRF3765.

Thank you.

Mariana.

  • The 4WI Timing Diagram in datasheet figure 64 depicts waveform shapes required to address and write individual registers. Figure 65 extends the timing diagram and waveform shapes to include readback data. A set of waveforms from a read register 2 command (from a companion device very similar to the TRF3765) is included below.

The register contents required to operate the device are described in tables 2 through 10 with readback operation in tables 11 and 12. Complete register content examples are included in the download "TRF3765 GUI." One example file includes the following GUI commands as a macro:

     register_write   Register 1            0000       0x78300049

    register_write   Register 3            0000       0x3B6AAAAB

    register_write   Register 4            0000       0x8A1CE00C

    register_write   Register 5            0000       0x1D8E968D

    register_write   Register 6            0000       0x5471100E

    register_write   Register 2            0000       0x88800B4A

Writing these register bits in the order given configures the TRF3765 to 2793.32MHz fractional mode. The GUI can be used to change configuration arbitrarily and view the corresponding register contents.

  • Peter,

We have bought the TRF3765, how can we do to connect the TRF3765 to our PC in order to use the GUI TRF3765.

Can you recommend us a particular configuration to do this?

     Thank you.

     Mariana.
