QFN16 or WQFN16 chip with marking TI 851 (A2YVF)

Hello,

We have a part to change on a small board which MPN is sadly not visible due to damage, the only visible marking at about the middle of the package is TI 851 and there is a production code below (A2YVF). It is QFN16 or WQFN16, and essentially it does convert a 80MHz frequency or related capacitance to 0-3.0V voltage.

Could you kindly let us know what the MPN is?

    If you have a schematic or a block diagram of your system, try to see what the failed part may do.
    Then use the parts lookup, search for the 851 marking.

    Search phrase
         851

     

    Yields devices with 851 in part number.

    Then look for 16 pin package, QFN.  An R designator is a wqfn.

    Regarding A2YVF
    LTC(Lot Trace Code) number.

    TI’s LTC consists of seven(7) alpha-numeric values.
             example 12ABCDE

    Sadly there is no schematic, otherwise it would be easier.

    I know for sure it cannot be this ADC because the board has no communication bus, it only receive a 3.3V power and provide a 0 to 3V output according to the reflected RF signal amplitude.

    So i suspect the part is an RF log. amp. detector, the operating frequency of the circuit is 80MHz.

    It's very hard to repair an electronic assembly, that has let the smoke out of an IC, without a schematic.
