AFE7444EVM: "Configure DAC WRITE_REGISTER_FAILED" when using HSDC Pro

Hello,

I am using the TSW14J57EVM data capture board to use with the AFE7444EVM. I am following the User Guide to send tones via the DAC with the internal clock.

The configuration works good with Set Mode and I have the LMK Lock LED(D7) illuminated; however when I go back to the HSDC Pro and click Send I have the following error:

"Configure DAC, WRITE_ REGISTER_FAILED; Wrrite register operation failed." Why do you think this error comes from? Is the link between the AFE7444EVM and the TSW14J57EVM board not correctly established and thus the configuration does not work?

    Théophile:

    That error usually means that the FPGA FW is not loaded properly.  Many times that occurs because of a brown-out situation.  Ensure that the 'J57 has a good 12V supply and the current limit is set to 3A. 

    Check to verify that you are completing the  HSDC Pro software procedures outlined in section 5 of the User's Guide to set the proper ini file and to load the firmware.
