TRF37D73EVM: Frequency Range of signal amplification

Hi Team,

I have a query on the frequency range for this EVM.

I think that TRF37D73EVM will amplify the signal of frequency from 1 MHz, but it doesn't amplify even if I put 2 MHz signal.

Hello Frank,

On the EVM there is a DC blocking capacitor of 1000pF. Since the TRF37D73 is internally matched to 50Ohms on both input and output, there is a high pass filter at the input blocking signals under 1/(2*pi*50*1000p). This calculates to around 3.2MHz. Can you try increasing the signal frequency to 5MHz or above?

Can I change this capacitor to 2000p? if I wanna amplify the signal of frequency from 1 MHz。

Hello Frank,

For a frequency of 1MHz, I would suggest a capacitor above 4000pF. Here is one that fits the dimensions on the EVM (0402 package): GRM155R71H472KA01J.
