IWR1443: Direct recording of raw ADC data over CSI

Can IWR1443 be directly read raw ADC data over CSI by an external camera receiver module without using Cortex-R4F that is the same way as AWR1243?

I would like connect IWR1443BOOST to an evaluation module of processor (e.g. AM571x or TDA3/TDA2E) with CSI.

Processor SDK-Radar (Radar SDK) supports the platform which is combination of TDA3x EVM and AR12 Booster Pack (AWR1243BOOST). I want to use IWR1443BOOST instead of AWR1243BOOST.

Hello Daisuke-san,

You can use the IWR1443BOOST in combination with TDA3x to read the ADC data over the CSI.

Few modification that you may need:
1) Disable the firmware download (in RadarSDK) that happens from TDA3x to the IWR1443BOOST. The firmware download over SPI is not supported for IWR1443BOOST devices.
2) Flash the MSS and RadarSS device firmware to the IWR1443BOOST before using it with the TDA3x.

I understand that Cortex-R4F is used with firmware to configure IWR1443.

The combination of AWR1243BOOST (IWR1443BOOST) and TDA3x EVM to read the ADC data over the CSI is not easy because it requires three additional boards, i.e. MMWAVE-DEVPACK, AR1243 DIB EVM-1 and AR1243 VAB EVM-1. Besides, for DIB and VAB the board design data is only available.

Is there any industrial solution that can be used with AWR1243 or IWR1443 and a TI processor (e.g. AM571x or AM570x) easily?

We do not have any standard offering with TDA3x+ IWR1443BOOST for industrial .
