AWR1642BOOST: CAN bus bit 0 error

Part Number: AWR1642BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1642

Hi Raghu,

We just followed this E2E link and checked attachment xwr16xx_Can_Evm-Evm.zip (xwr16xx_canfd_mss_Tx_mode.xer4f) to make sure CAN messages is received on CAN analyzer

What we have done.

1)  Tools and libraries version

a) CCS Version: 7.3.0.00019

b) mmwave_sdk_01_02_00_05

c) mmwave_sdk_01_02_00_05\packages\ti\drivers\can\

2)  Hardware - AWR1642 EVM

a) Mount 0 ohms on R11 and R12

b) removed R4, R6, R28, and R63 registers

c) connect to PCAN with CAN_H and CAN_L (PCAN as CAN Analyzer)

3) CCS

a) Launch AWR1642 Configuration

b) Connect Target Cortex_R4

c) Load Program as xwr16xx_canfd_mss_Tx_mode.xer4f

e) Run Target Cortex_R4

4) CAN Analyzer

a) Clock Frequency: 20 MHz

b) Bit Rate: 1 MBit/s

c) CAN messages is received on CAN analyzer

If we do following replacement

3)  CCS

a)  Launch AWR1642 Configuration

b)  compiled code by hardcoding "testSelection=4" and "gDisplayStats=1" for transmitting and receiving CAN.

c)  Connect Target Cortex_R4

d)  Load Program xwr16xx_can_mss.xer4f, just compiled on b)

e)  Run Target Cortex_R4

We didn't see any activity on the PCAN USB.

For 3) b), could you advise us what do you modify and create xwr16xx_canfd_mss_Tx_mode.xer4f ?

Thanks,
Zoe    .
