The TDC7201 data sheet does not give any specs on the Triggerx outputs. How wide is the Triggerx pulse? I see a register for setting its active edge high or low, but there is no spec for the pulse width or for rise and fall times. I would would like to have these two trigger outputs to have programmable pulse widths.
I can understand that in many applications an edge is all that is needed, but there are applications for which having a register to set the width of each of these two outs would eliminate external pulse width control circuits, but I do not see such a register. In my application, for example, I need to have a pulse that is nominally 16us wide, but needs to be adjustable for calibration purposes if temperature changes significantly. The adjustment does not need to be synchronous with any of the operating events, so a simple register write with readback using the SPI interface is all that is required. This is a hint to the product marketing and development group that they missed a simple feature that would be of great benefit to users. ;)
