LDC0851: Longevity | EOL | PCN

Part Number: LDC0851
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LDC1101, LMP91300

Dear responsible,

The production of components (in general) will continue for at least 10 years, but it is not clear (or i didnt see) when this period begins and when it ends.

I would be glad if you could give advise/info on how to decide/examine this situation.

If possible, could you please share the EOL plans of the components below?

LDC0851

LDC1101

LMP91300

Best regards.

  • Hello,

Thank you for posting to the Sensing forum.

The LDC0851, LDC1101, and LMP91300 are all available on ti.com and there are currently no EOL plans for these devices. You can refer to the Product Life Cycle page for policies regarding standard product longevity.

    Best regards,

    Nicole

  • Dear Nicole Khoury,

thank you for your time, but it is not clear when the components started/terminated.

Suppose that tomorrow is the day which LDC0851 material will be switched to the "ACTIVE" -> "NOT RECOMMENDED FOR NEW DESIGNS" stage. if and only if I knew these periods historically, I could take precautions.

I personally think that the start / end dates (at least the start dates) of the components should be published.

We want to move forward with a component whose expiry date is at least 10 years.

If possible, I would be glad if you could share the start / end dates of the following components.

    LDC0851
    LDC1101
    LMP91300

    Best regards.

  • Hi,

There are no end dates for the devices that you have mentioned, however they were released to market in the following years:

    • LDC0851: 2016
    • LDC1101: 2015
    • LMP91300: 2013

Although TI product life cycles are typically 10-15 years, they often extend longer. The policies regarding product longevity specify that TI standard products are not eligible for obsolescence under the following conditions:

    • The product has had any sales within the last five years (seven years for automotive or high-reliability products).
    • The product can be manufactured and has been in production for less than 10 years.
    • The product has any current customer demand.

    Best regards,

    Nicole
