Latch-Up test for SRC4190IDBR and SRC4190IDB

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SRC4190-Q1, SRC4190

Hi,

P/N
(1) SRC4190IDBRQ1 ... for automobile
(2) SRC4190IDBR
(3) SRC4190IDB

Could you please tell me about the Latch-UP test?
The Qualification Summary downloaded from TI.com shows the results of the Latch-Up test as follows.
(1) SRC4190IDBRQ1 is described
(2) SRC4190IDBR Not listed
(3) SRC4190IDB Not listed

Are the Latch-Up test not yet conducted for (2) and (3)?

Best Regards,
Migaki YAMADA (SATORI-SPT)

  • Hello,

The SRC4190-Q1 product is functionally and parametrically equivalent to the SRC4190 commercial product.  There is of course additional qualification testing performed on the -Q1 product during the initial release which may not have been documented as formally on the commercial devices as it was on the automotive -Q1 product.  The devices will perform similarly in this type of testing.

  • Thank you for your quick reply.
Can I understand that the SRC4190 commercial product has implemented the latch-up test?
    Or is it not implemented?

  • Hi Yamada,

The commercial product will perform as it is specified in it's datasheet.  Latch-up testing is a standard part of device releases and some level of testing was likely performed during commercial release.  The devices are functionally equivalent so the performance should match between them.

For full -Q1 qualification summaries and reliability information please purchase the SRC4190-Q1.

  • Hi Wells-san,

I thought that I was basically conducting a latch-up test. It was also implemented for automobiles.
However, in the Qulaification Summary, the description of the results was different for automobiles and commercial product as follows.
    (1) SRC4190IDBRQ1 is described
    (2) SRC4190IDBR Not listed
    (3) SRC4190IDB Not listed

My expectation was that the Qulaification Summary didn't show the results, but it was actually testing.
I would like to explain that the results of the latch-up test are the same for automobiles and commercial product, but customers say that they should show the results.

Unfortunately, customers don't buy the automotive-Q1 for use.

  • Yamada-san,

The results will be the same.  However, we currently only provide the results online for the -Q1 product and this is not likely to change since the release timing of the device was a number of years back.

  • Wells-san,
    Thank you very much.
