PGA970: Programming the mikrocontroller without evaluationboard

Part Number: PGA970

Hi,

Im trying to figure out how to insert my written code into a selfmade board using a PGA970QPHPR. Im using the XDS200 JTAG Emulator which has a 10 pin adapter to match the EVM board but just 1 seems to be connected. Pin 1 and (2+4) of the XDS200 are connected to SWDIO and SWDCLK of the PGA. I thought of replicating such a connection in order to load the code onto the chip.

Is there a pinnout of the connecter J22? Also is there any workaround to CodeComposerStudio,  I would like to use my own IDE...

Regards Paul

  • Hi Paul,

Please find the pinout of J22 below.

CCS is currently the best option for programming and debugging with the PGA970. I suppose another IDE would work as long as it can support the ARM compiler version needed for the firmware, and can interface with the XDS200. I have not tested another IDE, so I can't confirm, and there would likely be some additional effort to port everything over.

    Regards,
    Scott
