Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV5032
Hi
I am representing a company making cable harnesses for an Automotive company. We are using this sensor to detect the presence of a magnet. With the magnet correctly positioned, the controller allows the mechanism to function. If the magnet moves, the mechanism will stop.
We are currently going through the Automotive Grade Review process, which has flagged the following issue:
TI states the HBM ESD rating for the DRV5023 sensor to be ± 2500V. Our Automotive Customer needs the sensor to have a HBM ESD rating of ± 8000V.
We're assuming there is not a comparable sensor from TI that does meet the ESD rating requirement, so is there anything we can do to increase the rating to the required level. Would adding a capacitor between VCC & GND and another one between OUT & GND help, if it does, what values would be required.
If anyone is able to help & needs any further information, please let me know.
Many thanks in advance
Anthony
