Hello,

We are currently working with the cascade evm with a TDM configuration (12Tx).

We would like to decrease the PRT in order to increase Vmax limitation.

To do so we would like to setup the TDM as mentionned in the following picture.

We would like to know if its possible to emit simultaneously delaying chirps by 1/bandwidth (TDM)?

How can we setup this chirp configuration with mmwave SDK ?

One can define different delays by defining different idle times for each chirp

Thank you very much for your answer. Nevertheless more details are needed concerning this topic:

In other words, the need is to be able to emit simultaneously (with all Txs "12") all of them delayed each other by a constant offset.

As I understood from your answer, different idle times must be setup. But we don't know how to do this with mmwave or SDK config file.

In config files (lua for mmwave or txt files for sdk) idle time seems to be the same for all TX of the same emission.

How can we setup all TX to emit during same chirp with different idle times ?

Thank you for this additional information.

When enabling all TX I don't think it will not be possible to delay the TX individually.

Let me double check with the design team.

One more thing I was thinking about,

Instead of using TDMA - MIMO it would be possible to use DDMA MIMO. Have you considered this?

Hi,

I confirmed with design team two different frequency chirps cannot happen at the same time. There is a single synthesizer frequency , so all the Tx/Rx will work at the same frequency.

Concerning DDMA MIMO do you have more details or documentations about this mimo configuration with the sdk for cascade radar evm ?

At this point I don't have. We plan to support it for our future devices. Unfortunately I don't have additional information at this point.
