AWR2243: Bias changing and ambient temperature

Part Number: AWR2243

Hi Experts,

According to an application note "Cascade Coherency and Phase Shifter Calibration" www.ti.com/lit/spracv2, it says below in 3.3.1 Corner Reflector-Based Inter-Channel Imbalances.

Q1) How to change the BIAS settings?
Q2) "The ambient temperature is still kept the same..." Isn't there necessary to take care of the ambient temperature?

Thank you for your kind check.
Best regards,
Hitoshi

  • Hello Hitoshi,

TI recommends performing the offset measurements at factory at three temperature indices (while keeping the ambient temperature same)which means the user just needs to vary the devices’ analog configuration according to 3 different temperature settings i.e. change the TX/RX/LODIST gain codes according to low/mid/high bias at 25C (ambient temperature considered here).

So its basically a simulation of low/mid/high temperatures based on  TX/RX/LODIST gain codes.

Let me know if further clarification is needed.

    Regards,

    Ishita

  • Hi Ishita,

Thank you for your kind explanation.
Will post the question if further clarification is needed.
