AWR1843BOOST: How to detect weak targets in MRR lab?

Hi,

I'm working with the AWR1843 in the MRR lab and I want to detect persons in a large distance (around 30 meters). Is there a manner to configure the lab for low RCS targets apart from low the thresholds?

Hi,

As you said, you can try lowering the CFAR thresholds. I don't know of other methods right away, but I will get in touch with the developer of the lab and ask if there are any feasible ways to do this.

Could the MRR beamsteering lab be of use to you?

I'm using MRR instead MRR beamstering lab because I want to replicate the improvements in the MRR mode and USRR mode. As far I know, the USRR mode doesn't works oin MRR beamsteering lab.

Hi,

I did get in touch with the developer. He says that the thresholds are already low in the lab. He recommended that if you want to detect weaker objects closer to the radar, USRR mode would be more advantageous than MRR mode.
