AWR1843BOOST: How to calculate AoA of object

Hi, I am using medium range radar demo lab for one of the our projects. now we have one requirement i.e. we want to calculate AOA (Angle Of Arrival)of the coming object towards the radar or going away from the radar. how can we calculate AOA of the object? or already its being calculated in the demo lab?

Hi,

As is shown in the GUI, the (x,y,z) information is already computed by the target code and sent to the host. So, there is no need for additional computing.

x,y,y, these are the AoA of the object in all three planes?

x,y,z is the absolute location of the object in cartesian coordinates.

One can compute the angle information in spherical coordinates if needed. Please refer to geometry textbook
