TMP431: DxP and DxN pin consult

Hi Team,

If customer does not want to use pin DxP and DxN, is that okay to short DxP and DxN together? Or any other connections are suggested here? Many thanks for your help.

    Dear Stanley - 

    Yes - that is exactly the recommendation when not using a remote diode connected transistor (as the remote sensor) with this part.

    The TMP43x datasheet, page 14, section 8.3.6, states: 

    When not using the remote sensor with the TMP43x, the DXP and DXN inputs must be connected together to prevent meaningless fault warnings.
