AWR2243: Programming to control the phase in mmWave studio

Part Number: AWR2243

Hi Team,

May I request for your help? My customer have a concern. Please see below:
"We are trying to use AWR2243 radar with mmWave studio to collect data. Our experiment requires us to sequentially set the phase shifts on three transmitting antennas (as shown in the attachment), and this requires us to repeatedly configure mmWave studio and set the phase. I am curious if there are any methods to set a sequence of pre-defined phase shifts to the three transmitting antennas (Tx0~Tx2) so that we do not need to manually the mmWave studio every time."

I hope you can help us.

Thank you so much and keep safe.

Gerald

  • Gerald,

Has your customer attempted to use LUA scripts for configuring their AWR2243 device?

They can specify the phase shift values in the script and allow the script to run. This would avoid the point of having to manually set the phase shift values.

Example LUA scripts for this release of mmWave Studio can be found here:

    C:\ti\mmwave_studio_03_00_00_14\mmWaveStudio\Scripts

I would recommend starting with the "DataCaptureDemo_xWR.lua" file.

    Regards,
    Kyle
