PGA460: About “4.4.1 Impedance Gain-Phase Analyzer” of Application Report

Hi Team,

 

We referred to Application Report.

We would like to know the measurement environment and method.

We understand that you use HP4194A but we can’t find connection method to PGA460PSM-EVM.

Could you please let us know the block diagram (or picture) of measurement environment if you have any information?

    Thank you for your question. This portion of the document is not device specific to the PGA460PSM-EVM.

    What the document is referring to here is the method that is used to find the operating frequency of a transducer. If you have a transducer with unknown transmit frequency it would be necessary to perform this test in order to set the transmit frequency of the PGA460PSM-EVM to the right value. If the device is not transmitting at the correct frequency it cannot output the signals properly since they would be heavily attenuated and the device would not receive them as well.
