OPT3007: Difference between OPT3006YMFR and OPT3007YMFR

Part Number: OPT3007
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPT3006,

Hi Team,

Is there any difference between OPT3006YMFR and OPT3007YMFR.

As I understand,  HP requests to use OPT3007YMFR, not sure if OPT3006YMFR is restricted in HP project.

Looking forward to your response. Thanks in advance!

  • Hi Yu,

OPT3007 has 4 pins while the OPT3006 has 6 (INT and ADDR are no connect on opt3007). The 3007 has less pins so that the the FPCB cutout can be larger. The OPT3007 has a fixed I2C address of 0x45. Both OPT3006 and OPT3007 should be used with a flex PCB rather than rigid PCB.

    Best,

    Alex
