1. can we use the UART(only TX and RX) communication for Bulk programming the EEPROM as well as for getting the Distance DATA?(in both new IC(PGA60) and PGA460PSM-EVM).

2. Can the below configuration used for tuning the PGA460PSM-EVM using the GUI

           PGA460PSM-EVM is connected to MSP-EXP430F5529LP through UART(Only TX and RX).

    Hello Sridhar,

    Yes, the UART can be used to program the EEPROM and get the distance data.  Table 3 of the PGA460 datasheet mentions the UART specific commands for doing a burst and listen operation, getting the ultrasonic measurement result from the burst and listen operation, and also doing an EEPROM bulk write.

    The MSP-EXP430F5529LP can be used to interface the PGA460PSM-EVM to the GUI.  However, if you need to use a one-wire interface, you may also need a BOOSTXL-PGA460 BooserPack.  Sections 2 and 3.1 of the PGA460PSM-EVM User's Guide provides more info on this.
