AWR1843AOPEVM: breakaway feature

Hi team, 

My customer had the following request regarding AWR1843AOPEVM: 

I ordered two AWR1843AOPEVM and they have already been delivered. We already started working on it from setting up software environment.

But I have a question regarding the “breakaway” feature. I am referring the “AWR1853AoP EVM User’s Guide”.

This EVM features “Breakaway section for smaller form factor”.

Does it mean that I can cut the board at the breakaway point?

Can I use the smaller portion of the board “alone”?

But in that case, will the USB (J1) be the only interface that can be used?

    Hello Obinna,

    Yes, you're right. The board can be separated at the "breakaway point" and in that case, power should come from the USB connector (J1) and it would be the only interface available. 

    Also, DO NOT FORGET to read the below CAUTION msg : 

    This is a permanent change and many features as stated in the caution message above are permanently lost.
