IWR6843AOP: RF Calibration process in mass production line

Hello Expert,

Our customer wants to re-confirm that AOP6843AOP is executed the RF calibaration by TI ,

I refered https://www.ti.com/lit/an/spracx7/spracx7.pdf, and found the bellow calibaration is required.

1.2.1 Antenna Beam Tilt Measurement

1.2.2 Range Bias and Receiver Channel Gain/Offset Compensation

As a result, they don't need the RF performance calibration rather than these 2 items , correct?

Yes, those are the key factory calibrations that help improve the performance of the sensor by compensating for imperfections introduced by the manufacturing process.

Fujinaka-san,

There are additional calibrations could be needed based on the temperature effects. You could refer to the below app-note.

Additional calibrations such as boot time or run time calibrations would be needed based on the environmental factors to improve the accuracy of the mmWave sensors.
