IWR6843AOP: Changing RF Duty cycle in visualizer GUI

Hi,

My customer just started evaluation on IWR6843AOPEVM.
He tried OOB demo first and it worked fine, but he noticed the heat sink was pretty high temperature.

According to below application note, the temperature can be reduced if RF duty cycle is low.
(See Figure 11 for example)

He want to try to reduce the duty cycle in OOB demo.
Is it possible to control duty cycle from OOB demo visualizer?
If yes, could you tell me how to do that?
If no, what is easiest way to try it?

Hello,

Do change the %duty cycle of the device you have to change the number of chirps per frame, frame period, idle time, and ramp time. The relationship between these quantities is detailed in the following thread:

You can use the Demo Visualizer to do this, but keep in mind the Demo Visualizer can only accept certain configuration, so while you are tuning you may run into issues.
