AWR1642: Ghost detection and how to remove

Hi TI,

We have an industry radar application (2T4R) project installed on road roller has two issues,

1. Y=3m around has ghost detection for TX1 and TX2 both, and JPN customer using metal to stay behind the radar radome then the ghost gone.

2. Y=1m there is objects when moving backward which is not the real case

Please advise the SDK if any parameters to tweak with since it is bit older one chip that I am not sure if range/doppler/Clutter removal/CFAR ([解疑][TI]TI毫米波雷达系列（五）：恒虚警算法（CFAR）原理_指甲的博客-CSDN博客)/AoA for the point clouds

Please advise if there is something antenna can root causing as we may plan to run HFSS

Hi,

"Ghost objects" are usually caused either by the hardware (board/power supply...) or by multipath reflections due to the environment.

I think you need to determine first if the cause of the ghosts is the hw or the environment

By the way, can you please explain the antenna coupling parameter that I see in other E2E and is there instruction document for how to tweak?

Regarding the antenna coupling, do you mean the calibDCRangeSig?
