Hey there,

I have a circuit which is working SPI communication with PGA460-Q1. Circuit has 2 PGA460-Q1 and I'm using 2 SPI channel on PIC16F18346. I want to reduce this SPI lines to 1 line. How can I change the addresses (UART_ADDR) of these PGA460-Q1 transcievers? I know all of them have their address as 0x00. I need to address multiple PGA460s with a single line so that I can run them.

Hello Lacin,

Thanks for your question. In order to change the UART address on the PGA460 you would need to rewrite the UART_ADDR (bits 7:5) with the address you wish to you use. The register where the UART_ADDR is located is on the PULSE_P2 register (address 0x1F). Like you mentioned at the moment the value in there is 0, so with the bits available you can write up to a value anywhere from 0-7.

Make sure to change the address on one PGA460 before connecting them both to the same SPI line in order to avoid changing the address to both of the PGA460 devices.
