IWR6843AOP: Action after NERROR_IN is active.

Hello Expert,

I could not find good information on the Datasheet/ Technical Reference Manual / E2E thread, so asking this question on this thread.

Regarding NERROR_IN pin ,

1) From the pin name, is this High active pin , right?

2) Is this NERROR_IN is asserted, how the chip act after? The Datasheet only described as follows,

"Nerror output from any other device can
be concentrated in the error signaling monitor module inside the
device and appropriate action can be taken by Firmware"

This appropriate action means the "chip reset" or any other action will be executed?

3) User application does not need to handle after this error at all?

Hi A.Fujinaka,

NERROR_IN pin is a way to indicate to xWR* device that there is an error in the system. ( this is one way to cascade the error path in the system where any other device is providing nerror input and which is logged by xWR device and informed to host or take action)

This error will reflect in group 1 ESM error and will be reported through API message in FE sensor.

In Single chip sensor customer code in MSS is expected to take action/reporting on the same based on system needs and requirements.

This is Asserted low in case of Error.

Please refer section 7.2 in datasheet for handling and description of this pin.

Thanks for your repsonse.

I understand this NERROR_IN low input cause ESM gourp 1 error , so we should refer "28.2 Error Signaling Module (ESM)" in TRM swru522e.pdf, and user code should execute the appropriate behaivior to handle this error, right?
