TIDEP-01012: Boards set-up

Hi E2E,

Our customer has two sets of TIDEP-01012 (2x 2 boards) to acquire data at the same time. They are using two separate computers on each set of boards. Is it possible to connect them both on one computer and trigger the acquisitions at the same time? They use mmWave Studio with Lua Script to configure and start the acquisitions.

    Hello Carlo, 

    mmWave studio only allows ONE setup connection at a given point in time, and only one instance of mmWave Studio can run in a single computer. Hence, the customer will have to use two computers to connect the two cascade setups. 

    In case they want to trigger the acquisitions at the same time in both the setups, they would need to achieve common frame timing synchronization between the two boards using a hardware triggered mode. For this, the host needs to generate DIG_SYNC_IN pulses of the right periodicity and feed to DIG_SYNC_IN pins of all the chips (including the masters).
